Microporus filter (MF) is an industrial filtration device with a pore size of 0.1-60μm filter membrane as the core, which is widely used in the fields of medicine, chemical industry, electronics, food and beverage, and environmental protection. Its structure consists of a stainless steel outer cylinder and a folded filter element. It is divided into chemical grade and food grade according to the standard. Description
Introduction
Microporous filter is a new type of filtration equipment developed at home and abroad. It can filter out particles and bacteria above 0.1um in liquid and gas. It has the advantages of high filtration accuracy, fast transition speed, less adsorption, no medium shedding, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and easy operation. It is now widely used as necessary equipment in industries such as medicine, chemical industry, electronics, beverages, fruit wine, biochemical water treatment, and environmental protection.

How to use
1. Thoroughly clean the filter and filter connection parts, and correctly install the filter element and housing.
2. Before starting the machine, first check whether the booster pump is running smoothly, whether it is tightly connected, and whether all valves are closed.
3. Before starting the machine, first slowly open the liquid inlet valve, exhaust the air, and then open the liquid outlet valve for normal filtration.
4. If the filtration pressure difference is found to be greater than 0.1Mpa or the flow rate is significantly reduced, it means that most of the pores of the filter element are blocked. It is recommended that customers clean or replace the filter element.
Structure function
The stainless steel microporous filter is composed of a folded microporous membrane filter element and a stainless steel outer cylinder. It is equipped with a single-core or multi-core filter element. The filter cylinder is connected by a quick-release clamp or a quick-release ring bolt, which makes it very convenient to load and unload the filter element and clean the filter. The inner surface of the filter is mirror-polished (roughness Ra≤0.28μm), with no sanitary dead corners, and meets the requirements of "FDA" and "GMP" specifications. Microporous filters are divided into chemical grade and food grade. Food grade must be manufactured according to FDA standards. The filter material is high-quality stainless steel (304/316L), and the inside and outside are finely polished without dead corners. It is characterized by small size, light weight, easy use, large filtration area, low clogging rate, fast filtration speed, no pollution, good thermal dilution stability and chemical stability. This series of stainless steel microporous filters can filter out most of the particles, so it is widely used in fine filtration and sterilization processes. The filter cartridges are available in 1-core, 3-core, 5-core, 7-core, 9-core, 11-core, 13-core, and 15-core versions.
The lengths of the folded filter cartridges are 10, 20, 30, and 40.
The filter cartridge materials are polypropylene, polytetraethylene, and acetate.
The filter apertures are: 0.1um, 0.22um, 1um, 3um, 5um, and 10um.
The filter cartridges are available in hydrophobic (for gas) and hydrophilic (for liquid) versions, which can be selected based on your needs.

Quick opening high efficiency filter
When the microporous filter leaves the factory, the user must configure the filter element of different forms and materials according to the filtration purpose and medium conditions before use. For example, for pharmaceutical water in GMP factories, it can be used in series with two groups of 5um and 1.0um pleated membrane simple filter elements. In the fermentation industry, air filtration, as shown in Figure 1, can sterilize the incoming air, remove bacteriophages, and seal the exhaust gas for treatment to meet the US bacterial filtration HIM standard.
Maintenance
Microporous filters are now widely used as essential equipment in industries such as medicine, chemical industry, electronics, beverages, fruit wine, biochemical water treatment, and environmental protection. Therefore, its maintenance is very necessary. It can not only improve the filtration accuracy, but also extend the service life of the microporous filter. How can we maintain the microporous filter well?
There are two types of microporous filters for the maintenance of microporous filters, namely, precision microporous filters and coarse filtration microporous filters.
1. Precision microporous filter
①. The core part of the precision microporous filter is the filter element. The filter element is made of special materials and is a consumable part that requires special protection.
②. After the precision microporous filter has been working for a period of time, the filter element intercepts a certain amount of impurities. At this time, the pressure drop increases and the flow rate decreases. It is necessary to remove the impurities in the filter in time and clean the filter element at the same time.
③. When removing impurities, pay special attention to the precision filter element, which must not be deformed or damaged. Otherwise, the purity of the medium after the filter element is installed will not meet the design requirements.
④. Some precision filter elements cannot be used repeatedly, such as bag filter elements, polypropylene filter elements, etc.
⑤. If the filter element is found to be deformed or damaged, it needs to be replaced immediately.
2. Microporous filter for coarse filtration
①. The core part of the microporous filter for coarse filtration is the filter core. The filter element is composed of a filter frame and a stainless steel wire mesh. The stainless steel wire mesh is a consumable part and needs special protection.
②. After the filter has been working for a period of time, a certain amount of impurities will be deposited in the filter core. At this time, the pressure drop will increase and the flow rate will decrease. The impurities in the filter core need to be removed in time.
③. When cleaning impurities, pay special attention to the stainless steel wire mesh on the filter element. It cannot be deformed or damaged. Otherwise, the purity of the medium after the filter is installed will not meet the design requirements, and the compressor, pump, instrument and other equipment will be damaged.
④. If the stainless steel wire mesh is found to be deformed or damaged, it needs to be replaced immediately.
Microporous filters have high filtration accuracy, fast transition speed, less adsorption, no medium shedding, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, easy operation, and a wide range of applications. Their role is becoming more and more important.
